Yes. Black Belt builds directly on Green Belt statistical methods and project leadership, so a completed Green Belt certification (with us or an equivalent provider) is required before enrolling.
Our curriculum is aligned to the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Lean Six Sigma Body of Knowledge, the widely recognized industry standard for what each belt level should cover. Certification is issued directly by Design for Lean upon successful capstone review.
Both. White and Yellow Belt are fully self-paced. Green and Black Belt include self-paced modules plus optional weekly live coaching calls — you choose the format that fits your schedule at enrollment.
You apply the DMAIC method to a real process — usually one from your own job. You define the problem, measure current performance, analyze root causes, implement an improvement, and set up controls to sustain it. A mentor reviews your work at each stage.
Yes. Your mentor helps you scope a suitable project in week one — most learners find one inside their own team once they know what to look for. If you're between roles, we can also provide a structured practice dataset.

If you haven't started your capstone review, you can request a full refund within 30 days of enrollment. After capstone review begins, we offer a prorated refund based on mentor hours already used.
